When looking at betting odds on The Oscars, you can usually be sure that most, if not all, of the favorites are going to run the tables when it comes to racking up Academy Awards. And as we showed with our first batch of betting picks for Best Actor, Actress, Picture, and Director at The 2022 Oscars, this isn't a trend we should necessarily expect to change when looking at all the major and most popular categories.

But how about some of the more accessory sections? Will those are as predictable at The 2022 Oscars? We're not so sure. And that's why we're dedicating these freshly out-of-the-oven 2022 Oscar Predictions to spotting dark-horse movies like 'Cruella' and 'Luca' that could leave the ceremony with plenty of Academy Awards love.

First, though, let's have a peek at the latest betting odds on The 2022 Oscars. We'll begin with the Academy Award for The Best Animated Feature Film:

Pick to WinMyBookie
The Mitchells vs the Machines+750
Raya and the Last Dragon+3000

The Oscars are currently scheduled to take place on Sunday, March 27, 2022. These odds on The Oscars are accurate as of Thursday, March 10. So if you're making your picks anytime after March 10, please be sure to double-check these odds on The Oscars, since they will continue to change right up until the show begins.

With a few weeks to go before the red carpet extravaganza, we also recommend checking out our reviews of the top online sportsbooks. We've done a ton of research so that you don't have to, and we have no doubt that after looking at what we've found, you'll have no trouble spotting the best betting sites for The Oscars in 2022.

The Oscars 2022: Best Animated Feature Film Prediction

Encanto (-600) is the overwhelming favorite to take home the prize—and for good reason. Disney delivered a captivating story about a family that lives in the secluded, hidden mountains of Colombia, a plot that has helped earn an 87 percent approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes.

But we find ourselves drawn to the projected runner-up, which is also from Disney: Luca (+600). Awards voters are often pulled toward coming-of-age stories in the animated film section, so for us, it makes sense to roll the dice here.

OSB Prediction: Luca (+600)

The Oscars 2022: Best Original Song Prediction

Here are the latest odds to win the 2022 Academy Award for Best Original Song:

Pick to WinMyBookie
No Time to Die (No Time to Die)-200
Dos Orugitas (Encanto)+175
Be Alive (King Richard)+700
Down to Joy (Belfast)+2000
Somehow You Do (Four Good Days)+3000

To be honest, we're surprised "No Time to Die" (-200) from the latest James Bond movie isn't a heavier favorite. Maybe oddsmakers are hedging their bets against Encanto losing the feature-film award, so they've given priority to "Dos Orugitas" (+175) from the movie.

At any rate, "No Time to Die" has been billed as an iconic original song from a well-reviewed film that also acted as the final installment of the Daniel Craig era. We'll take it running away.

OSB Prediction: No Time to Die (-200)

The Oscars 2022: Best Cinematography

Here are the latest odds to win the 2022 Academy Award for Best Cinematography:

Pick to WinMyBookie
The Power of the Dog+250
The Tragedy of Macbeth+900
West Side Story+1800
Nightmare Alley+2500

This is another easy one for us, to the point we needn't even waste time with alternatives. The views and angles in Dune (-450) are truly mesmerizing—so much so that they resonate even in stillshot form

No other movie stands a chance here.

OSB Prediction: Dune (-450)

To win the 2022 Academy Award for Best Cinematography

The Oscars 2022: Best Costume Design Prediction

Here are the latest odds to win the 2022 Academy Award for Best Costume Design:

Pick to WinMyBookie
West Side Story+750
Nightmare Alley+2500

Some will think that Dune (-300) is a valuable underdog bet in this space. We can't bring ourselves to make that call.

Anyone who watched Cruella (-425) understands the detail and creativity and overall uniqueness that went into the outfits. Many of the most entrancing ones were worn by Cruella herself, played by Emma Stone, but the getups for the entire supporting cast were equally memorable.

OSB Prediction: Cruella (-425)

Cruella To win the 2022 Academy Award for Best Costume Design

The Oscars 2022: Best Makeup and Hairstyling Prediction

Here are the latest odds to win the 2022 Academy Award for Best Makeup and Hairstyling:

Pick to WinMyBookie
The Eyes of Tammy Faye-200
Coming 2 America+600
House of Gucci+1400

Far be it from us to pick another upset, but we can't believe the makeup and hairstyling from Cruella (+600) isn't inciting more favorable consideration here.

Some of the aesthetic decisions verged on outrageous, but that's sort of the point. The out-thereness factor matters in this category. And if we're being blunt, the makeup and hairstyling in Cruella outstripped that of both The Eyes of Tammy Faye (-200) and Dune (+400).

OSB Prediction: Cruella (+600)
