We’re inching closer and closer to the start of the 2025 college football season. Soon, we’ll be picking Week 1 games. But… you can and should also start thinking ahead to conference championship games in December.
Yes, that’s four months away, but college football odds for every conference title game is out right now. At these preseason odds — before the season starts — you can get some sweet action across the board. That’s exactly what we’re doing in this article so keep reading for our best bets to win NCAA conference championships!
SEC Championship Predictions
Of course, we start with the vaunted SEC. This is, by far and away, the premier division in college football. That’s why the odds to win the SEC at top college betting sites are so competitive right now. Here’s the SEC favorites at the moment:
Team | ![]() | ![]() | ![]() |
---|---|---|---|
Texas | +275 | +275 | +275 |
Georgia | +300 | +300 | +300 |
Alabama | +400 | +400 | +400 |
LSU | +700 | +700 | +700 |
Mississippi | +1600 | +1600 | +1600 |
The Longhorns are not just the favorites to win the SEC, but the entire national championship too. Texas was one game away from the national-title game a year ago, but what bettors are really banking on this year is the rise of Arch Manning. The nephew of Peyton and Eli has been hyped to the moon since he was a teenager, but this will be his first chance as Texas’ true QB1.
And to put it bluntly, we’re fading the Manning hype. Arch has been on the team two years, and both years he backed up Quinn Ewers. Should we really think Manning is the best player in the country when he couldn’t unseat a seventh-round pick (Ewers) on his own team? It certainly gives us some pause.
Even if Manning is as good as advertised, the Longhorns have an absolute gauntlet ahead of them. They open the season on the road against Ohio State, the defending champions of the sport. Later during conference play, they also have a road visit at Georgia — the team that beat them twice a year ago (including the SEC title game).
Speaking of Georgia, we think they’re the better bet here. Here’s a program that’s made it to the SEC Championship game seven of the last eight years — the model of consistency in a stacked conference. We think Kirby Smart is the best coach in this division, and per usual, he’ll get the best out of this Bulldogs team. Take Georgia to go back-to-back!
ACC Championship Predictions
There’s a massive favorite to win the ACC Championship, and that’s Clemson. Just take a look at the gap between them and the next-best favorites:
Team | ![]() | ![]() | ![]() |
---|---|---|---|
Clemson | +100 | +100 | +100 |
Miami | +380 | +380 | +380 |
Louisville | +850 | +850 | +850 |
SMU | +900 | +900 | +900 |
Georgia Tech | +1400 | +1400 | +1400 |
Yeah, pick Clemson here. This is a high-confidence bet, and right now, it's as good as odds as you’ll get. Once we’re into the season and the Tigers are stringing together wins, those even-money odds you’re seeing will quickly become -120 then -200 and so on — locking you out of betting value.
Why are we so confident, though? Because Clemson is back after a so-so period after its last national title. On paper, this is the most talented roster since those years under Trevor Lawrence. There are 13 returning starters, plus a slew of highly-touted freshmen in transfers.
Head coach Dabo Swinney made headlines earlier this month when he said Clemson could be the first team to go 16-0 in college football history — because of the expanded College Football Playoff. We’re not that confident, but we are in the ACC, which lacks big competition for Clemson. That’s why we advise you to slam this bet hard!
Big Ten Championship Predictions
We finish with the conference that has won the College Football Playoff each of the last two years. First it was Michigan and this past year it was Ohio State. Could it be a threepeat? We don’t know, but it very well might be. There are three legit title contenders here and no surprise, all are high in the Big Ten title odds race, as seen below:
Team | ![]() | ![]() | ![]() |
---|---|---|---|
Ohio State | +200 | +200 | +200 |
Penn State | +240 | +240 | +240 |
Oregon | +300 | +300 | +300 |
Michigan | +850 | +850 | +850 |
USC | +2000 | +2000 | +2000 |
Honestly, you can talk us into bets for each of the top-3 — the Buckeyes, Nittany Lions, and the Ducks. But given the odds, it only makes sense to bet on one.
If we had to pick just one team to win here, it would be Penn State. Yes, we know the narrative — “Penn can’t win the big one.” But narratives are meant to be rewritten, and that’s what we’re banking on this season.
We just have the utmost trust in not only head coach, James Franklin, but his two top coordinators — Andy Kotelnicki on offense, and the new defensive coordinator, Jim Knowles. That might be the best trio in the whole country, and one good enough for Penn to finally exorcise their demons in big games.
