Buckeyes vs Hoosiers
Ohio State is a 4-point favorite on Saturday night with the OVER/UNDER set at 47.5 points. Looking to repeat as national champions, the 12-0 Buckeyes have the top-ranked scoring defense in college football, allowing only 7.8 points per game. However, critics will point to a soft schedule. Ryan Day's club is coming off an impressive 29-9 victory over Michigan but the competition has been otherwise weak.
Led by Heisman candidate Fernando Mendoza, Indiana has the No. 2 scoring offense in the country, putting up 44.3 points a game. The Hoosiers' most impressive victory came back in October. A 30-20 win over the Oregon Ducks, who are now ranked No. 4 in the nation.

Quarterback battle
Fernando Mendoza leads the nation with 32 passing touchdowns. He wasn't spectacular versus Oregon, but did throw a timely fourth-quarter score to give Indiana a 27-20 lead.
Julian Sayin passed for 233 yards and three TDs in the 27-9 victory over the Wolverines. The redshirt freshman has thrown for over 3,000 yards and 30 TDs this season. Of course, it helps when you're tossing the ball to Jeremiah Smith and Carnell Tate, who have combined for 19 receiving scores in 2025.
Matchup history
Ohio State has an 80-12-5 all-time head-to-head record versus Indiana, and destroyed their Big Ten rivals 38-15 just last year. But there's no denying the Hoosiers are a different animal in year two under head coach Curt Cignetti. Indiana is better in most offensive categories, including points per game (No. 2), rushing yards per game (No. 9 overall) and total offense (No. 5 overall), and they lead the nation in turnover margin (+17).
While the Hoosiers are stout against the run, the Buckeyes' top-ranked D allows about 50 fewer passing yards per game.
Fun fact: 27 of Fernando Mendoza's 32 TD passes came in the state of Indiana.
