Purdy's injury lingering

Brock Purdy is poised to miss yet another week with turf toe after 49ers coach Kyle Shanahan told reporters that his starting QB "wasn't that close" to being active for Sunday's 34-24 win over the Giants.

Mac Jones passed for 235 yards and 2 TDs, but it was Christian McCaffrey who carried the offense, generating 173 scrimmage yards and two scores. CMC set an NFL record with his 16th career game with both a rushing and receiving TD, breaking a tie with Marshall Faulk.

Shanahan vs McVay

Kyle Shanahan has a 12-7 all-time record over Sean McVay in meetings between Los Angeles and San Francisco. However, the Rams had won three straight over the Niners before their Week 5 loss.
