Roman Dolidze vs. Nassourdine Imavov Betting Pick

For the first time in a long time, the UFC middleweight division looks up for grabs. Sean Strickland and Dricus Du Plessis went to war, but neither looked unbeatable like Israel Adesanya or Robert Whittaker did in years past. That’s why this middleweight main event is intriguing. Whoever wins could insert themselves into title contention (or close to it). As it stands, the Dolidze-Imavov moneyline is pretty darn close. Here’s how the best UFC betting sites have it pegged:

Nassourdine Imavov-155-155-155
Roman Dolidze+125+125+125

Neither has a lot of momentum going into this one. Dolidze suffered only his second career loss last time out versus Marvin Vettori, while Imavov had a no contest and loss (to Strickland) in his prior bouts. We’d expect a lot of striking come bell time. Both aren’t afraid to move forward and swing, but go about it differently.

Imavov, undoubtedly, is more of a high-volume hitter. He lands 4.55 significant strikes per minute to Dolidze’s 3.02. Not only can he attack, but Imavov’s counter-striking is really good. The thing is though, Imavov is a bit of a pillow puncher. His KO ability is nothing to marvel at.

That’s the opposite of Dolidze, who is way, way more dangerous. Seven of 13 career wins for Dolidze have been the way of KO. Not only that, he’s also a submission threat. His grappling is quite good and has led to another three tap-out wins. Dolidze has only won twice by decision. If he’s going to win, it’s almost guaranteed to be via stoppage.

In this fight, we favor Imavov ever slightly. Dolidze really disappointed in his prior fight, which gives us doubts he can compete with top-10-level fighters. His game plan left much to be desired against Vettori, and if anything, Imavov will just fight smarter. The betting favorite is our pick to make.

Renato Moicano vs. Drew Dober Betting Pick

Another banger of a fight in the co-main event between two fun-to-watch lightweights. Here again, the Moicano-Dober betting odds are pretty darn close. Here’s how oddsmakers have it pegged:

FighterBovadaBetUSMyBookie
Renato Moicano-145-145-145
Drew Dober+115+115+115

Expect a second slugfest in this bout. The striking stats will tell you a lot about how these fighters go about their business. Moicano lands 4.75 strikes per minute to Dober’s 4.58. In accuracy, Moicano also has the edge at 47 percent to 40. However, there are some major separation points too. For one, Moicano has grappling to fall back on while Dober doesn’t. Moicano averages 1.66 takedowns per fight, whereas Dober is at 0.68.

Moreover, Dober has a more trustworthy chin. He has 12 career losses but only two came by KO. Dober can take most opponent’s best shots and keep clubbing blows right back. Moicano, on the other hand, each of his past three losses have been via KO.

The underdog gets out money here. We’ve neglected to mention that Moicano hasn’t stepped into the octagon since November 2022. Ring rust is hardly good for anyone, little less a 34-year-old like Moicano. Our prediction is Dober earns the early stoppage win.

Viviane Araujo vs. Natalia Silva Betting Pick

As it stands, Silva is a commanding -335 moneyline favorite. There’s little money to make off that lopsided line unless you believe Araujo is winning (we do not). Therefore, we’re betting on the over/under between Araujo and Silva. The betting line isn’t out yet, but we have a good feeling it’ll be set at 1.5 rounds.

Silva turns 27 years old on the day of this fight. She’s a shooting star in the flyweight division that could use a new name. Since starting her career 6-5-1, Silva has won ten in a row — the last four in the UFC. Honestly, she might be the total package between clean striking and superb wrestling.

The 37-year-old Araujo has little to no shot here. However, we will say she’s very hard to put down. She’s lost four times since entering the UFC in 2019, but all were by decision. Silva is dangerous both on the feet and the ground, however, we respect Araujo enough to say she’s going the distance. Once the odds are out, we’d slam the over bet if we were you.
