Oddsmakers evidently don't believe that it will be third-time lucky for William Byron at the Daytona 500. Byron has won each of the past two season openers at Daytona. However, he's not the betting choice to win the race in the picks for the 2026 NASCAR Daytona 500.

It's Ryan Blaney and his Penske Racing teammate Joey Logano who are set as the +1000 co-favorites at leading online sportsbooks to be the winner of this year's Daytona 500.

Let's look at the latest NASCAR betting lines on this race. Remember, odds are always subject to change.

NASCAR Daytona 500 Betting Picks

The drivers will cover 500 laps to complete the 500 miles in this race. The Daytona 500 is divided into three stages of 65, 65, and 70 laps.

Ryan Blaney (+1000)

Although he's won twice at Daytona International Speedway, both of Blaney's victories have come in the Daytona summer race. That includes a win in last year's race.

He's twice finished second in the Daytona 500. Blaney was the runner-up in this race in 2017 and again in 2020.

Joey Logano (+1000)

Logano does have a win in the Daytona 500, but it was a while back. He was the winner of the race in 2015.

The Penske driver was second in the 2023 race, but the past two years haven't gone his way. Logano ran 32nd in 2024 and finished 35th last year.

Austin Cindric (+1200)

Completing a Penske sweep atop the odds board, Cindric is right behind his two teammates in the NASCAR Daytona 500 betting line.

Cindric won the 2022 Daytona 500. He ran eighth in the race in 2025.

William Byron (+1200)

Byron became the fifth driver to win successive Daytona 500 races. He joined Denny Hamlin (2018, 2019), Sterling Marlin (1994, 1995), Cale Yarborough (1983, 1984), and Richard Petty (1973, 1974).

In fact, no race team has ever won the Daytona 500 three years in a row. That doesn't bode well for Byron or Alex Bowman, Kyle Larson, and Chase Elliott, his Hendrick Motorsports teammates.

Brad Keselowski (+1400)

Veteran driver Keselowski has made 16 starts in the Daytona 500, and he's never managed to win the race. He's rarely come close to being the first one across the finish line.

Keselowski was third in 2014 and ran fourth in 2013. A ninth in 2022 is his only other top-10 run in the race.

Chase Elliott (+1600)

Other than a second-place finish in 2021, the Daytona 500 has supplied Elliott with plenty of misery. He was 10th the following year, and that's his second-best performance in the race.

Kyle Larson (+1600)

Whether it's the 500 or the summer race, Larson has never tasted victory at Daytona. The reigning NASCAR Cup Series champion has only cracked the top 10 twice in the race.

Larson ran seventh in 2016 and again in 2019.

Denny Hamlin (+1800)

Along with his victories in 2019 and 2020, Hamlin also won the 2016 race. Over the years, he's also run second, third, fourth, and fifth in the race.

Recently, though, his luck in the 500 has gone sour. His last four finishes in the race were 37th, 17th, 19th, and 24th.

Kyle Busch (+1800)

Much like Elliott, whose father, Bill, was a two-time winner of the race, there is a Daytona 500 win in the Busch family. Kyle's brother Kurt won the 2017 race.

As for Kyle, he'll be making his 21st start in the race in 2026. He was second in 2016 and third in 2019. Those are his best outcomes in the race.

Bubba Wallace (+2000)

Wallace made his first Daytona 500 start in 2018 and finished second in the race. He also ran second in the 2022 race.

Best NASCAR Daytona 500 Prop Bets

Among the early Daytona 500 NASCAR prop bets, Chevrolet and Ford are set as +140 co-favorites to win the race in a winning manufacturer prop play. A Chevrolet has won the past three races. Ford cars drove to victory in back-to-back Daytona 500 races in 2021 and 2022. It's +325 that a Toyota will win the race. Toyota's most recent Daytona 500 win came in 2020.

Logano is the +500 favorite to win the first stage of the race. Blaney is the +650 second betting choice. Both Logano and Blaney are co-betting choices at odds of +600 to be the winner of the second stage of the race.

NASCAR Daytona 500 Pick

The Daytona 500 shows a rich history of producing surprising winners. Cindric won as a rookie in 2022. In 2011, Trevor Bayne won when he wasn't eligible for Cup Series points.

Before Byron's two wins, Ricky Stenhouse Jr (2023) and Michael McDowell (2021) also won the race. Wallace has done everything but win this race, and his best performances have come in even-numbered years. His 23XI race team traditionally runs well in this race.
