Here below are some updates along with some longer shots. Pundits forget anything and everything can happen in these events. Also, Luke Humphries won the event in 2025 before Luke Littler went on his run which culminated in that end of the year flourish. Before this there are the Bahrain Darts Masters and Saudi Arabia Darts Masters. That should get the bettors' appetite a little wet for the big event at the end of January.

Many forget that Littler won seven on the nine top events in 2025. One he lost was this very title to Humphries. Jonny Clayton actually got to the Final instead of Littler which was the shock. Clayton nearly pulled off the improbable as he was edged out 6-5. Many could not believe how close Clayton came. It goes to show one never knows when it comes to darts.

The World Masters get highlighted with a Sets format (no legs here). Now, the first round is a best of five. Round 2 is a best of seven. The quarters are also a best of seven. Naturally, the semifinals are a best of nine and the finale is a best of 11. Gian Van Veen fires in after his runner-up at the 2026 World Championships. With so many prequalified bangers, this could be an amazing third and fourth day that people talk about through the rest of the Winter.

Best Chances To Win 2026 World Masters Darts Bets

Making multiple bets on the 2026 World Masters Darts Championship remains very smart. Yes, the sets format makes this a reasonable wager. One can take the favorite and run it down the line sprinkled with longer shots. Now, let us look at some contenders:

Luke Littler

This is the tosser who set the darts world ablaze last year. He won seven of the nine major events and will come in hot wanting this title. Obviously, it was one of two he did not win. Despite all that rubbish, Littler has been in some amazing form. He rolls in fresh off another World Championship (second in a row). He beat Gian Van Veen seven sets to one and that easily could have been a whitewashing. Littler was that dominating in the final.

Littler gets well entrenched into his form then look out. One of the big things noticed from the Worlds was how he just kept rolling along. He piled up over 106 points and it was no fluke. Poor Van Veen stood no chance. Even an expanded field of 128 players did not phase Littler at all. He sailed through the early rounds then asserted his dominance in the championship rounds. It is crazy that the Englishman only turns 19 next week.

There are only a handful of players who can defeat Littler in this event. It would probably take a loss of focus and/or form for the favorite to lose. It becomes more of a surprise that plus money is on the table here. Yes, darts can be fickle. However, for someone who is on this kind of run, maybe bettors think the money should go elsewhere. It will be intriguing to see what happens over the next couple weeks.

One has to take the +120 and run!

Luke Humphries

Men's World Masters Darts Bets look toward Humphries next. Zero pressure exists for this Englishman. Currently, he is the No. 2 ranked player in the sport, but only advanced to the quarters at the World Championship. He is the defending World Masters champion, however.

Humphries needs to get on a run here and show a formidable opposition to Littler. The Ballon d'Art got dominated by Littler in the last event with 73 180's. Humphries is capable of getting to that level but did not at Alexandria Palace. Can he turn things around after a subpar run?

Bluntly, Humphries has won eight titles in 15 PDC career final appearances. It is difficult to completely count him out even if the 30-year-old has not won on the world state since the Premier League.

Among The Rest

When it comes to among the rest, this gets far more clouded. Can Gian Van Veen carry the momentum from Worlds to the Masters? Are we going to get completely blindsided by another player making a magical run? Does this simply come down to Littler versus Humphries again?

With so many questions, this is where form might matter a little more. Van Veen at +650 still seems too short. Honestly, it may be worth taking a look at players like Gary Anderson (+1500) or even Jonny Clayton (+3000). The difference between third and say 8th or 16th is not much. Anderson wound up in the semis at the Worlds and would be our pick to disturb the apple cart.
