WWE Money In The Bank Betting Advice

When it comes to betting advice for Money In The Bank, deciding which talent NOT to put money on matters almost as much as who does get your money. We want to start there before offering our favorite bets.

Fade LA Knight

We’ll preface this by saying, we think LA Knight is deserving of a Money In The Bank moment. He’s built up a cult following on his own with the tiny bit of airtime he gets. However, we just don’t think WWE brass see him at that level to main event — which is usually what the ladder match winner goes on to do.

If they did think he was at that level, they would have shoe-horned him into WrestleMania somehow, someway. Knight wasn’t to be seen though. And since then, has remained stuck in WWE purgatory. Knight formed a short-lived tag team with Rick Boogs that was a nothing-burger, and that's about the extent of his usage.

We would be shocked if Knight goes from that to Money In The Bank winner. We mean, that’s a huge jump. A more realistic path up the card for Knight is a United States title run then maybe flirt with winning Money In The Bank. It’s for this reason that we’re staying far away from a bet on Knight despite his leading odds.

Bet On These Two Wrestlers Instead

Given the plus-money odds across the board, sans Knight, it might be wise to bet on two different wrestlers here. That will negate the risk of going all in one wrestler — and won’t eat profits too much in the process. And out of all the betting options, we’re most confident in two names.

If we could only make one bet in this spot, then it would be Montez Ford. Because unlike Knight, we could fully see WWE decision-makers get behind Ford as a “top guy.” For one, he’s supremely talented — both inside the ring and on the mic. You need both to succeed at a high level in the WWE, and that’s Ford to a tee. He’s also young and African-American, which helps his cause if we're being real about "optics."

But more than just being the total package, it’s just time. Ford has been teamed up with Angelo Dawkins as The Street Profits since 2016 while in NXT. It’s been seven years and there’s really nowhere else for the group to go. Going solo feels inevitable and winning the ladder match is the perfect launch-off point as far as we can tell.

Our second pick is none other than Solo Sikoa. At Night or Champions, the Bloodline imploded with Jimmy Uso superkicking Roman Reigns. For now, Sikoa appears to be aligned with Reigns. But WWE could effectively create a “ticking time bomb” by having Sikoa win Money In The Bank, thus earning a chance at Reigns or Rollins (the newly crowned champion).

Think back to when Batista won the Royal Rumble and then decided to challenge his stable mate, Triple H. It was an iconic storyline that made Batista into a household name. WWE could play the same card here and possibly get the same result. That’s why it’s worth taking a flyer bet on this in case it happens.
