Burnley managed to stay in the Premier League for a second successive season thanks in large part to their home form. They’ll try build on their successful 2016-17 campaign to ensure they remain a mainstay in England’s top division. “The Clarets” were one of the founding members of the Football League back in 1888 and their home ground, Turf Moor, holds the record for the longest continuously professional used football ground in the world with natural turf. Much of Burnley’s history has been spent in the top two division in English soccer.
They won the top division title in 1920/21 and in 1959/60, but spent 1976 to 2009 outside of the top flight. Burnley returned to the dizzy heights of the top tier after winning the 2009 Championship playoff, but were relegated after only one season. They returned in 2014/15, but were again relegated the next season.
The yo-yo continued with Burnley being crowned champions of the Championship in 2015/16 but they were able to stop the relegation trend. Now it’s time for Burnley to build a Premier League foundation, which will start with improving their abysmal away record.

Burnley Online Betting Tips
Before the 2016-17 season started, Burnley were pegget at -120, second favorites, to be relegated. Oh how the sportsbooks were wrong. Though they probably would have made the drop had it not been for their stellar home record.
Burnley were amongst the top 10 home teams in the league, banking over 80 percent of their points at Turf Moor. It’s quite an incredible return. But usually in life there must be balance and Burnley’s away record definitely proves that.
Burnley won a single game in 19 away matches, the second worst record in the top flight. They only won their first away game near the end of the season and must improve that shambolic record to stay in the division in future seasons. They won’t be able to consistently rely on that kind of improbable home record.
If the current trend persists, you know to back the Clarets at home more times than not, while betting against them in away games. You won’t get much of a return for betting against them on the road but you could utilize that bet as part of a bigger parlay.
Quite proficient defensively, Burnley finsihed in the middle of the pack when in terms of goals against.
