Theo Walcott to score for Arsenal against Crystal Palace

Arsenal travel to Crystal Palace this weekend knowing they must return home with all three points if they are to seriously challenge for a Champions League place.

The Gunners are the Premier League second top scorers with 61 goals in 29 games and are ranked first away from home courtesy of finding the back of the net 30 times in 14 games.

Ten of those league goals have come from Theo Walcott. The England international forward has netted 19 goals in 36 games in all competitions this season and has been on the score sheet in five of Arsenal’s previous seven games.

Sadly, for fans of Crystal Palace, Walcott looks like he believes he can take on the world right now, which is why the +600 on Walcott to open the scoring and +180 on him scoring at anytime, both offered by Bovada, surprise me, even if Walcott has never scored against Crystal Palace before. 

Zlatan Ibrahimovic to score for Manchester United against Sunderland

Zlatan Ibrahimovic is Manchester United’s top scorer this season with 16 league goals. The giant Swede is not afraid to fire a shot at the opposition goal as is evinced by his 81 shots this season, which is more than any player in the top 20 of the goal scoring chart. 

Ibrahimovic must be licking his chops in anticipation of playing against a Sunderland defense that has conceded 53 goals in 30 games. Manchester United will have a hatful of chances to score against Sunderland and Ibrahimovic will likely get the lion’s share of chances. 

Ibrahimovic got on the score sheet last time United played Sunderland in a 3-1 win at home on Boxing Day.

Players to Avoid

You may be tempted to back Jamie Vardy to score for Leicester City this weekend, especially considering he has five goals in his last five Premier League games. But Vardy and Co. head to Everton this weekend and the Toffees have only conceded 10 goals at home this season, the second least in the top flight. 

I would also shy away from Josh King of Bournemouth, who has 12 league goals this season, purely because his they take on Chelsea at home and the Blues’ defense is miserly, allowing only 24 goals all season and a mere 13 on the road.
