Liverpool, or The Reds, are one of the most famous soccer clubs in the world thanks in part to the huge success the club enjoyed in the 1970s and 1980s. The side play their home games at Anfield and have won the First Division title 18 times, although not since the 1989/90 season, much to the annoyance of their supporters. In addition to those 18 titles, Liverpool has won the FA Cup seven times, the League Cup on eight occasions, the UEFA Super Cup thrice, UEFA Cup/Europa League three times, and the European Cup/Champions League five times. Liverpool Online Betting Tips

Liverpool are once again an elite team of English soccer. They’re not quite at the level needed to win a Premier League crown, but they are getting close. Backing the Reds to finish in the top four is a solid bet, and it will be as long as Jurgen Klopp is at the helm. He’s a great manager who is loved by the players and city alike.

Don’t be surprised if Liverpool do well in the Champions League. Klopp is renowned for performing exquisitely in European cup competions and the Champions League should prove no different. A lot depends on how Klopp strengthens his comparatively weak defense. Their center backs aren’t good enough to springboard Liverpool to the next level.

In addition, Liverpool were a bit of a walking juxtaposition in 2016-17. They performed exceptionally against top competition, including Chelsea, Manchester United, Manchester City, Tottenham and Arsenal. Unfortunately, Liverpool’s inconsistencies against mediocre opponentes, especially at home, was the team’s achilles heel.

Those teams park the bus, play a solid defensive formation and capitalize on the counter attack. Until Klopp figures out how to squash these minnows, they won’t challenge for the Premier League crown.

Backing the Reds in the FA Cup is always a promising wager. Bet on them early so you get the best prospective return and hope Klopp fields strong teams in the early rounds. It’s unlikely but they do have a deep enough squad to advance without their top players.

The Reds were the fifth best team at home and third top on their travels during the 2016-17 season. Finishing fourth is considered a success in Merseyside as Champions League football is essential to their continual growth. This high powered offense needs another top striker while Klopp will have his sights set on bringing an elite keeper, along with a first-choice center back to Anfield

Back the over in most Liverpool home games while veering towards the under when playing in hostile environments. Think seriously about placing a top-four bet but, for now, avoid backing them as future Premier League winners.
