Tottenham Hotspur Football Club, more commonly known as Spurs, are an English Premier League soccer team who play out of White Hart Lane in Tottenham, London. They will play their home games at Wembley for the 2017-18 season while their new stadium is being finished. Spurs were founded in 1882 and won the FA Cup for the first time in 1901, becoming the only non-league team to do so since the formation of the Football League in 1888. Tottenham have gone on to win the FA Cup a further seven times, the last time in the 1990-91 season.
The club have also won four League Cup victories and have finished top of the English top flight of soccer, but not since the 1960-61 season.
Tottenham looked like putting their title drought behind them in the 2015/16 season, keeping pace with Leicester City during the latter half of the campaign. But their form dipped with a few games left in the season and they eventually finished third in the Premier League behind champions Leicester City and arch-rivals Arsenal.
They bettered that total in the 2016-17 season, finishing as runners-up behind Cheslea. Spurs were absolutely brilliant for most of the season and almost pipped Chelsea at the finish line. Spurs were pegged by bookmakers as +850 joint-fifth favorites before the season started. While they didn’t accomplish their ultimate goal, Spurs definitely surpasses the bookmaker’s predictions.

Tottenham Online Betting Tips
Many pundits believe that the 2015/16 season was Tottenham’s best chance of winning the Premier League title.
However, a run of four games without a win including a 2-2 draw at Chelsea handed the title to Leicester City.
Spurs’ attack was the second best in the Premier League during the 2015-16 season. They scored 69 goals and only failed to score six times in 38 games. Harry Kane bagged 25 league goals and was the Premier League’s top scorer.
Tottenham were the best in the Premier League in that campaign and it is easy to see why. Hugo Lloris in goal is superb, while a defensive four of Kyle Walker, Danny Rose, Toby Alderweireld, and Jan Vertonghen backed up the French keeper.
Not much changed during the 2016-17 campaign. Spurs, in fact, improved upon their third place finish the prior season. The runners-up were once again the best defense in the league and were also the most prolific attack. Spurs were a force to be reckoned with at White Hart Lane. They didn’t lose a game there all season so any bets backing Spurs at home were almost guaranteed to come in.
However, Spurs won’t play at White Hart Lane in the 2017-18 season, as they wait for their new stadium in North London to be built. Instead, they’ll play their “home games” at Wembley, a place they haven’t had much luck at in recent encounters. Playing in the national stadium could greatly affect their home record, especially as Wembley can never compare to White Hart Lane’s atmosphere.
If the 2016-17 campaign is anything to go by, you’ll want to back Spurs and the over at home. But I’d recommend waiting to see how they adapt to their temporary home.
Look to back the under in Spurs away games, as they don’t muster nearly as much offense in enemy territory. They lost five away games in 2016-17 and also failed to score in five.
This team is definitely improving as a collective and will be one of the frontrunners to win the 2017-18 Premier League title. They improved down the stretch in 2016-17, winning nine straight Premier League games to almost rein Chelsea in. The youngest team in the league, Spurs are blessed with exciting talent going forward and have a sound defensive core to back it up.
As far as future bets go, back Spurs to win the 2016-17 title. If they don’t win the title, they’re in danger of seeing their squad splinter, as some of their top players may depart for some of Europes’ juggernauts.
