OSB War Of The Worlds Expected to Win Golden Raspberry

2026 Golden Raspberry bets headline some of our picks for Worst Picture and maybe some more awards too. The event takes place on Saturday, March 14th. Now how does one try to figure out an awards show like this? That is what makes it fun!

We try to make heads or tails of the 46th annual event. Expect plenty of twists and turns as is par for the course with the nominees. After all, the Razzies are truly a sight to behold. They really do spotlight the worst of the worst that cinema has to offer.

  • What: 46th Annual Golden Raspberry Awards (The Razzies)
  • When: Saturday, March 14, 2026
  • Where: Los Angeles, California
  • Where to Watch: Check streaming options via YouTube
  • Main Categories: Best Picture, Best Actor, Best Actress

The top prize err lowlight is the award for Worst Picture. Okay, here is something fun. The nominations were released during the day on January 21st. Most insiders thought they had an idea on who would win this but the odds have definitely cooked up a different favorite than many had projected.

Honestly, it was believed that Disney's Snow White was going to be a runaway here. With a huge budget and the absolute flop that it became, there seemed to be a destiny with that movie and a Razzie nomination. Naturally, Ice Cube's War Of The Worlds said hold my beer. Rotten Tomatoes had a field day with both films but seemed to deadpan the straight to Prime Video effort. People forget that the Golden Raspberry Awards spotlight the big and small screens alike.

Snubs? We do not have time for that. Here at Online Sports Betting, we let those flops marinate somewhere else.

Now, the questions keep coming. Who will win the awards that most in the acting business far from treasure? Here we go!

What About War Of The Worlds?

When it comes to the 2026 Golden Raspberry best bets, what about War Of The Words was so bad? Other awards are not like this one. However, again, Rotten Tomatoes gave this 4% positive reviews while Metacritic scored this a 6. Also, the movie was nominated for all six major Razzie categories. Only Disney's Snow White could tie that number. The film entered Rotten Tomatoes' worst films of all time at #76 as of October, 2025.

Yes, Disney's Snow White bombed awfully but War Of The Worlds may have taken this to another level. This was filmed during COVID over basically 15 days. Using a ton of product placement, critics were relentless with the film citing the overall overuse of Amazon products, drones, etc.

The good news is that the film is meant to be fun. Let's face it. It may not be awesomely bad but has its moments. People often forget that the Oscars are the night after the Razzies. Our online betting guides give you a heads up as to what bets are possible for both awards shows. War Of The Worlds grew on us in every bad, possible way here.

Could Disney's Snow White Wake Up And Win?

Next, the 2026 Golden Raspberry Bets toss in a steamy subplot. If Disney makes a big live screen dramatic film, what are the chances it tanks? Lately, that answer has been almost automatic. Several well profiled flops have graced the big screen but Disney's Snow White may have taken the cake and the whole enchilada as well.

Now, the crazy part of the film was the premise that it seemed doomed from the start. Disney gave the green light for the remake well before COVID. The film was set to be released in 2024 but the 2023 SAG-AFTRA strike set it on one of the worst collision courses imaginable. There were a lot of weird oddities with the film. On the big screen, it only made $206 million worldwide but yet debuted as the top streamed movie on Disney+.

The film received mixed reviews but frankly, it reimagined so many things that most critics and even some moviegoers were outright puzzled. When the trailer was released on YouTube, it garnered a whopping million dislikes compared to 82,000 likes. Rotten Tomatoes graded the movie at 39%. Metacritic stayed around 50%. US critics seem to praise the film more compared to their worldly counterparts.

It is a bit of a surprise the film was nominated for six categories but here we are. A common critique was how bland the film was and yes, computer generated feeling.

The Rest Of The 2026 Golden Raspberry Bets

Finally, there are the rest of the Golden Raspberry Bets. The problem here is that the two films presented are so bad and bland respectively that even Star Trek: Section 31 could be a longer shot possibility at +1200. Rotten Tomatoes scored this at 23% with Metacritic coming in at 37. It was nominated for five Razzies and honestly presents as the best third option.

War Of The Worlds is our pick to win and Ice Cube for Worst Actor feels like a shoe-in or raspberry.
