McLaren teammates Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri each sit with Formula 1 betting lines of +2800. They are the only other drivers with odds shorter than +4000.

George Russell (-135)
The Chinese GP has not been kind to Russell over the years. He shows just one podium finish in the race.
His margin of victory in Australia was nearly three seconds, as Russell dominated the first race of the season.
Charles Leclerc (+900)
His third-place run in Australia was Leclerc's best finish since he ran second last year in Mexico City. It was his third podium finish over his past seven races.
Leclerc hasn't won a race since the 2023 U.S. Grand Prix. That was 31 races ago.
Kimi Antonelli (+600)
Antonelli's second in Australia tied his best career finish. The Mercedes driver was second in last year's Sao Paulo Grand Prix during his rookie Formula 1 season.
Lewis Hamilton (+750)
His fourth in the Aussie GP tied Hamilton's best finish of the 2025 season. He ran fourth in four races last season.
It's been 28 races since the seven-time world champion finished on the podium, and 36 races since he was a winner.
Max Verstappen (+900)
Verstappen ended the 2025 season with three successive wins, so his fifth in Australia was a disappointing start. It was his worst race since the Red Bull driver was ninth in last year's Hungarian Grand Prix.
Lando Norris (+2800)
Norris is the reigning Chinese Grand Prix winner. The 2025 world champion was fifth in Australia. That was the worst finish by the McLaren driver since Norris ran seventh in last year's Azerbaijan GP.
Oscar Piastri (+2800)
A spectacular crash on the reconnaissance lap of his home race left Australian Piastri with a DNS for the race. He's found the podium just twice over his past eight races.
Best Chinese GP Prop Bets
In a unique offering in the Formula 1 prop bets for the Chinese Grand Prix, you can wager on which driver you think will finish second in the race. Even though he's the third betting choice to win the race, Antonelli is set as the +110 chalk to finish second. Leclerc is the +225 favorite to finish third.

Haas driver Oliver Bearman, who ran seventh in the Australian GP, is given +110 odds to finish in the top 10 of the Chinese GP. Mercedes is the -140 odds-on pick to have both drivers finish in the top three of the race.
Russell is the -110 chalk to earn pole position in qualifying. A time of 0.2 seconds is the -150 favorite to be the winning margin in qualifying.
Mercedes is even money to be the fastest team in practice. Hamilton and Verstappen are both given odds of +125 to earn a podium finish in the race.
Russell The Favorite In Formula 1 Championship Futures
With a win under his belt, Russell is set as the solid -140 pick to win the world driving title in Formula 1 futures. Despite his poor showing in the season opener, Verstappen is the second choice in this betting market at +450.
You can get Formula 1 betting odds of +600 on Antonelli winning the world title. He's the only other driver with a betting line shorter than +1000.
The Ferrari tandem of Leclerc (+1000) and Hamilton (+1200) is the next betting pick. Then comes defending world champion Norris at +2000. You'll get the same +2000 Formula 1 betting line on his McLaren teammate Piastri.
In the Constructors Championship, Mercedes is given -225 favorite odds. Ferrari (+275), McLaren (+600), and Red Bull (+1000) are next in this betting market.
Chinese Grand Prix Betting Pick
Mercedes has won five of the past eight Chinese Grand Prix races. However, it's worth noting that over the past four years of the race, there have been four different winners. The McLarens ran 1-2 in last year's race.
Still, until another driver displays the ability to get the better of Russell, it's difficult to pick against the Mercedes driver. Go with Russell to win in the Formula 1 Chinese Grand Prix picks.
