Jon Rahm Favorite to win the 2023 PGA Championship

The PGA Tour season is alive and well and although there is a ton of tournaments left for the year, it's never too early to look at some PGA Championship picks, with the Oak Hill Country Club event scheduled for later this month after Jon Rahm won The Masters in April. The LIV golfers will be back for this tourney in Rochester, New York, but it's Rahm who is the favorite to win the next Major. The Spaniard sits at +700 odds, while Scottie Scheffler (+800), Rory McIlroy (+1100), and Jordan Speith (+1800) follow.

Before we get into the odds and predictions for the event at Oak Hill, make sure to check out our top golf betting sites and 2023 Masters Odds.

Jon Rahm (+700)

You will not find a hotter golfer in the world than Rahm. The Spain native already has four PGA Tour victories in 2023 and many other impressive finishes. While putting on The Green Jacket is easily the biggest honor of Rahm's career thus far, his eyes will now be on the PGA Championship. If he can do so, it would be his second Major of the year. For what it's worth, Rahm was second down in Mexico last week, too.

Scottie Scheffler (+800)

Scheffler is also in impressive form this season. He won the always-competitive Phoenix Open before taking home the grand prize at the prestigious Player's Championship. His game plays well at basically any course, just like Rahm. He was also 10th at Augusta. After all, he is Scottie Scheffler. He's always capable of getting it done.

Rory McIlroy (+1100)

McIlroy is a two-time winner of the PGA Championship and still one of the most elite golfers around. But, it's nine years since he last came out victorious at Oak Hill. Plus the Irishman is in very poor shape lately, missing the cut at The Masters and the Player's Championship. Not ideal by any means for McIlroy. Perhaps his best days are behind him. McIlroy even admitted to being burnt out, too, hence why he skipped the RBC Heritage then got slapped with a $3 million fine.

Brooks Koepka (+1800)

A LIV golfer. Who wants to talk about them, right? Well, Koepka is still very good, even if he doesn't play as often as he did on the Tour. Koepka won the PGA Championship in back-to-back years in 2018 and 2019 and just finished second at Augusta behind Rahm. He's still a winner. Can the American build off that momentum in Georgia and capture a third Championship? It's very possible.

Jordan Speith (+1800)

Speith's lone PGA Championship came in 2015, the same year he took home US Open and Masters titles as well. He's really struggling this season though, missing the cut at Augusta and failing to finish lower than 10th in six straight tournaments. Not exactly in the type of form to win at Oak Hill.

PGA Championship Picks

There are obviously other potential contenders, but in my mind, these are the names to watch. To be honest, it's worth betting on both Rahm and Koepka. I expect them to be battling it out for the ultimate prize in Rochester.
