Premier League Gameday 8 Betting Tips

Premier League Teams To Put Money On

By Matt Pitt

Chelsea (-170) vs. Leicester City (+425)

ChelseaChelsea hope to get back to winning ways this weekend as they entertain reigning champions Leicester City at Stamford Bridge. Antonio Conte’s men lost 2-1 at home to Liverpool in their last home game, but go into this clash confident of beating Leicester after a 4-2 away in a cup game on September 20.

Leicester have struggled early, having amassed only eight points from seven games. Their usual watertight defense has leaked the league's most 10 goals on the road. That is not good news when facing a team like Chelsea.

On paper and current form Chelsea should justify their -170 favorite tag. However, Chelsea have shown they can be soft at the back and Leicester have the players to cause serious trouble.

I like the +210 on Bovada for both teams to score and Chelsea to win as well as the +105 on both teams to score 2.5 goals. Speaking of goals, I’m a fan of the +210 for Cesc Fabregas to score at any time; Fabregas bagged a brace in Chelsea’s 4-2 win over Chelsea in the cup.

Pick: Both teams to score and Chelsea to win at +210

Manchester City (-205) vs. Everton (+500)

Ashley WilliamsManchester City saw their 100% record end last time out thanks to a 2-0 away defeat at Tottenham Hotspur. Pep Guardiola will be doing everything he can to help his team bounce back.

Everton travel to the City of Manchester Stadium without a win in three league and cup games, although they are still fifth in the table thanks to five wins in their first six games.

Ronald Koeman’s Toffees are a very long +500 to beat City and while I won’t be betting on them, I wouldn’t blame you putting a couple of dollars on that outcome with those odds. I believe Everton can come away from Manchester with a share of the spoils, which you’ll find odds of around +175 online.

Another solid bet is betting on Everton with a +1.5 spread at -150.

If Everton press City like Tottenham did a few weeks ago then this could be a tight game. This leads me to think the opening goals could come from a set piece, which gives greater value to central defenders being the first goal scorer. Everton’s Ashley Williams is +5000 to score first and +1400 to score during the 90-minutes. This is obviously a long shot, but definitely worth a couple of bucks.

Pick: Tie at +175

Liverpool (+105) vs. Manchester United (+255)

Liverpool

Liverpool have won their first two home games of the season, drubbing their opponents in both fixtures, 4-1 and 5-1. While a similar score is unlikely when Manchester United visit on Monday, the fixture has potential for plenty of goals.

The Merseyside team has score 18 goals in seven games but have conceded 10 and are yet to register a shutout. United have scored 13 times this season, conceded eight and kept two clean sheets from seven games. These figures make the -125 on there being over 2.5 goals an absolute steal.

United have been inconsistent so far this season; beating Leicester 4-1 while struggling in a 1-1 draw with lowly Stoke City. They are likely to raise their game against Liverpool, but I can’t see past a Liverpool victory due to the style of play Jurgen Klopp is employing.

A 2-1 Liverpool win is +750 and that's the bet you should take. If you think this game will end in a 1-1 draw, then snap up the +525 currently available.

Pick: Over 2.5 goals at -125
