Atletico Madrid Drawing Dead vs. Manchester City

Atletico Madrid (+695) is usually a defensive powerhouse. Not this season. Their backline has been flimsy and unable to shut down weak-side passes with any sort of consistency. This absence of a shutdown mode at the point-of-attack and in open space has put a ton of pressure on their goalies between the posts.

Among La Liga's top eight teams, in fact, not one of them allowed more scores on the year than Atletico Madrid. Granted, the team's zone defensive schemes have fared better of late; they've conceded just three goals through their past five matches.

But facing Manchester City (-240) is an incredibly tough pull. Even without Kyle Walker (suspended for the first leg of the quarter-finals) and Ruben Dias (thigh injury), they have the depth to upkeep their offensive creativity and precision closer to the crease.

As ever, anything's possible if Atletico Madrid's defense overachieves. But we expect Manchester City to tally at least three goals through regulation in this one. And they might even have an easier time when these two teams face off again in the second leg.

OSB Prediction: Manchester City (-240)

Chelsea Perseveres Against Real Madrid

Chelsea (+110) initially looked like it might fold this season. Their offense struggled amid a League Cup Final loss to Liverpool, and they dealt with a boatload of off-field issues, including drama at the top of the organization with their owner and his ties to Vladamir Putin.

However, Chelsea has refused to go down without a fight. Not only are they working off five straight victories, all of them in fairly convincing fashion, but Kai Havertz, Thiago Silva and Antonio Rudiger are all playing the best soccer of their careers.

On their finest day, Real Madrid (+265) will have a claim to victory. Their defensive schemes are notoriously effective throughout this tournament. But we're a little taken aback that Chelsea is laying better than even money, if we're being honest. Pounce on them now.

Will Liverpool Roll Over Benfica?

Most are going to write off Benfica (+750) from the get go. Oddsmakers sure seem like they've done just that. But Benfica just pulled off a last-16 upset over Ajax. Their ball denial on defense is no joke, and they've shown they can capitalize in a big way off turnovers.

Still, Liverpool (-260) is on an absolute heater at the moment. Over the past 15 games, the Reds are a ridiculous 14-1 and have outscored their opponents 32-5. That is not a typo. That is a real goal differential.

Credit should be paid to Benfica's defense from the point of attack. Jan Vertonghen and Nicolas Otamendi are two of the best to do it right now. For the life of us, though, we can't pretend Benfica has a chance. They don't.

OSB Prediction: Liverpool (-260)

Bayern has the Clear Advantage vs. Villarreal

While Bayern Munich (-122) continues to play like they're distracted by the uncertain future of superstar Robert Lewandowski and a mounting list of injuries, we cannot bring ourselves to pick against them.

Sure, Villarreal (+440) are coming off a wildly entertaining victor over Juventus. But here's the thing: Juventus lacks secondary playmakers. Villarreal was free to put an absurd amount of pressure on the ball at all times. They won't have that same luxury against Bayern—which, for all their struggles, continues to house a handful of high-end decision-makers and shot-takers within their offensive setup.

OSB Prediction: Bayern Munich (-122)
