Can the United States Get a Third Straight Win Over Mexico?
The pressure is on the United States to pick up every victory possible. There are three qualifying spots left in this division, but Canada has already essentially sewn up one. Here's the thing: Costa Rica's offense is busted. Bryan Ruiz is the only player on the team to score more than one goal in qualifying play so far, and they don't generate a ton of shots between the posts in the first place.
Though the United States' defense at the point of attack can be shaky, the lack of offensive diversification in Costa Rica's portfolio simplifies their life a great deal. The USMNT should be able to win this one even if they score only a single goal.
