English Premier League Matchday 14 Betting Tips

English Premier League Matchday 14 Betting Tips

The 2016-17 Premier League season has reached match day 14, and there are some mouth-watering fixtures taking place, but on which games should you bet your money? Lets find out.

EPL Fixtures To Bet On

By Matt Pitt

Manchester City (+105) vs. Chelsea (+250)

Aguero

The pick of the weekend’s fixtures is, without a doubt, Manchester City’s home clash with league leaders Chelsea. These are the two teams that online bookmakers believe will battle it out for the title come the end of the season.

City beat Chelsea 3-0 home and away in the Premier League last season, but this Chelsea team is much stronger and organized than in 2015-16. Antonio Conte has switched to a 3-4-3 formation. It has resulted in Chelsea being rock solid at the back. The goal Chelsea conceded in their 2-1 win over Tottenham last weekend was the first in 551 minutes of league action.

Pep Guardiola’s City side have the firepower to hurt Chelsea but have drawn their previous home games against defense-minded teams. All eyes will be on Sergio Aguero adding to his 10 league goals as he scored a hat-trick the last time these two teams met, but expect him to be well marshalled by Chelsea’s backline.

This match could go either way, but I am going for the game to end in a tie and both teams to score at +325 with Bovada.

Pick: Tie and both teams to score at +325

Tottenham Hotspur (-280) vs. Swansea City (+700)

Eriksen

Tottenham Hotspur slumped to their first league defeat of the season last weekend when they lost 2-1 to Chelsea. Do not expect a similar result this week as Spurs take on Swansea at White Hart Lane.

Spurs have turned into draw specialists this season, drawing six of their 13 games in the league and need to get back to winning ways sooner rather than later if they are to keep tabs on the leading teams. With the top two sides playing each other this weekend, Spurs have the chance to close the gap on them, and I expect them to do exactly that.

Swansea has never beaten Tottenham in the Premier League, drawing two and losing eight of the previous meetings. Traditionally, this fixture has resulted in goals, with six of the past seven games ending with more than 2.5 goals scored.

The Swans registered only their second win of the season when they beat hapless Crystal Palace 5-4 last week, but Spurs are a different beast entirely and should have more than enough to sweep aside the Welsh outfit.

Pick: Tottenham to score first and win at -225

West Ham United (+330) vs. Arsenal (-130)

Arsenal

West Ham United could slip into the relegation zone if they fail to beat Arsenal and results go against them.

The Hammers are without a win in their last four games, while Arsenal are unbeaten since the opening day of the season, a string of 12 matches. West Ham have an awful record against the Gunners, winning once, drawing twice, and losing 13 of the previous 16 encounters.

All but two of the past 10 games between West Ham and Arsenal have resulted in the over 2.5 goals market being triggered, and I fully expect this to be the case this weekend. Arsenal are the league’s fourth top scorers with 28 goals and have the second best attack on the road. I just can’t see West Ham keeping Arsenal at bay for the full 90-minutes.

Pick: Arsenal to win at -130 and over 2.5 goals at -150
