At last, football is back! The Premier League — the most competitive of all football divisions — returned to action in the middle of August, which got us wondering about making 2025-26 predictions that’ll pay big bucks at the top soccer betting sites. That’s what we’re going to cover in this article so stick with us for money-making advice!

Best Bet To Win Premier League Title

By all accounts, it’s a three-team race to win the Premier League championship and the latest soccer betting odds reflect that. Here’s the odds-on favorites to win the league this season:

ClubBovadaBetUSMyBookie
Liverpool+170+170+170
Arsenal+195+195+195
Man City+300+300+300
Chelsea+1000+1000+1000
Man United+2700+2700+2700

Notably missing from the top favorites are Chelsea, Manchester United, and Tottenham. Chelsea won the Club World Cup, but turned over the roster just too much to instill serious betting confidence. United, well, they’re still a no man’s land after finishing 15th a year ago. This once proud club is expected to finish in the middle of the table. The same goes for Tottenham, who fared even worse a year ago at 17th. Plus, the club now finds itself without its longtime star player, Son Heung-Min, who bolted to the MLS just recently.

Of the three top contenders, who’s the betting priority? It has to be Liverpool, right? They are the defending champions after an 84-point season. And dare we say, they might be better this season? Personally, we liked their offseason moves.

The attack is practically being rebuilt, albeit with Mo Salah still as the feature player. The team rewarded him with a fresh contract after leading the league in goals (29) and assists (18). But the players who flanked him that season are gone in Luis Diaz, Edwin Nunez, and of course, Diogo Jota, who tragically passed away. They are replaced by two new attackers in Florian Wirtz and Hugo Ekitike.

We will give manager Arne Slot the benefit of the doubt here. He did a masterful job replacing Jurgen Klopp, and he’ll find a way to make this new offense work. Plus, we expect Salah to be his usual brilliant self (more betting advice on that later).

While the Reds are our priority bet, we think it makes sense to put a smaller wager on Man City. It’s a backup bet, but it makes sense at +300 odds. Last year was a disaster by their standards. Injuries and fatigue after years of winning seemed to have worn them out. But if City can manage to get Rodri back in peak form, watch out. The former Ballon d'Or winner is the key to a rebound season from Pep Guardiola side.

Best Bet To Win Golden Boot

As we mentioned, Salah was brilliant last season, winning his fourth Golden Boot award. As it stands, oddsmakers give him one of the best shots at winning Golden Boot No. 5. Check out the current odds:

Erling Haaland+140+140+140
Robert Lewandowski+500+500+500
Alexander Isak+600+600+600

Cole Palmer+2000+2000+2000

Haaland gets our money here. He, like the rest of City, had a letdown season a year ago. Haaland “only” scored 22 goals — the lowest of his career in the EPL (he had seasons of 27 and 36 before that). But like we said, we’re expecting a bounce-back season out of the team, including Haaland.

The 25-year-old hasn’t even reached his peak form yet — and that’s actually scary to think about. Coming into the season, Haaland has 86 goals in 97 Premier League. That’s an eye-popping run, made crazier when you compare it with Salah’s 66 scores in 114 games during the same span.

Plus, City might need him to score plenty to win matches. The team has massive question marks at defense, which will put pressure on Haaland and the rest of the attack to put up points. So far, so good. City won its opening game versus the Wolves 4-0. Haaland? He had a brace in the game so already ahead of the pack in the race for the Golden Boot. He’s a no-brainer bet, as far as we’re concerned.

Best Bet To Be Relegated

Alright, here’s a fun one — which teams will be relegated at season’s end? Remember, the bottom three get booted down a league. As it stands, here’s the favorites to meet that bad fortune:

ClubBovadaBetUSMyBookie
Burnley-400-400-400
Sunderland-165-165-165
Leeds+135+135+135
Brentford+230+230+230
Wolves+230+230+230
West Ham+310+310+310

With this wager, feel free to make multiple bets since multiple teams are getting relegated. Leeds, for sure, is one such bet. Why? Well, history isn’t on their side. You see, each of the past six promoted teams were relegated right back down the next year. Just as bad, 10 of the past 15 suffered the same fate.

Burnley is another worthy bet after its own promotion. Here’s a team that re-did its whole roster with 13 new players. That lack of continuity could hurt that as much as the elevated competition will. Odds are just not good for any of the newly-promoted teams (Sunderland is the other in case you want a trifecta bet).
