Does San Diego have it sealed up?
San Diego FC is a -175 favorite to finish the regular season atop the Western Conference. SDFC is undefeated in six games and, aside from the Leagues Cup, has not lost a MLS match since July 16th.
In just their second season since becoming an expansion franchise in 2024, Mikey Varas' club sits in first place in the West with a 17-5-7 record. They're five points ahead of second-place Minnesota (14-9-6) and seven points in front of Vancouver (14-7-6), who has two games in hand.

Remaining schedule
San Diego FC hosts second-place Minnesota this Saturday. However, their final four contests are against Atlanta United (5-11-12), San Jose (9-8-12), Houston (8-8-12) and Portland (10-9-9). Of the four, only the Timbers are slated for a playoff spot.
While three of San Diego's remaining five games are on the road, they're currently riding a seven-match road winning streak. That's tied with 2024 FC Cincinnati (seven games) and 2022 CF Montréal (seven games) for the longest single-season road winning streak in MLS history.
What could go wrong?
Vancouver (+185) is seven points back of SDFC with two games in hand. With each MLS victory worth 3 points, they could be only one point behind if they win both games. That said, this Saturday the Whitecaps face Philadelphia (17-6-6), the first place team in the Eastern Conference. Vancouver also has three more matches against clubs who are currently in the postseason - Portland, Seattle and Orlando City.
Minnesota United (+800) will see its odds of winning the West shorten significantly if they can knock off San Diego on the road this Saturday. That would leave them just two points out of first place with four games to play against teams currently sitting outside the playoffs - Chicago, Colorado, Sporting KC and LA Galaxy.

2025 MLS Cup Western Conference Winner Picks
With a relatively easy slate following this Saturday's home matchup with Minnesota, first-place San Diego (-175) is a safe bet to finish first in the MLS Western Conference at the end of the regular season. Bet aggressively.
