The Grant Thornton Invitational brings together some of the best golfers in the PGA Tour and the LPGA. They team up for one thrilling weekend of golf from Friday to Sunday, with all the festivities taking place at Tiburon Golf Club in Naples, Florida. This is the first event of its kind since 1999, the last time the PGA Tour and LPGA joined forces. There are some intriguing pairings that we will lay out below, but the favorites to win the tournament are Tony Finau/Nelly Korda (+550), Ludvig Aberg/Madelene Sagstrom (+600), and Sahith Theegala/Rose Zhang (+1000). Finau/Korda (+550)
Tony Finau and Nelly Korda are an intriguing pairing who have the talent to do some damage here. Finau played in 24 PGA Tour events this season, making the cut 20 times and earning five top-10 finishes. He also won two tournaments. Finau is coming off an impressive fourth-place finish at Tiger Woods' Hero World Challenge last week in the Bahamas. He's in good form and that should help in Florida.
When it comes to Korda, she's a former world No. 1 who had nine top-10 finishes on the LPGA this year. Korda was eighth at the CME Group Tour Championship last month and sixth at the Maybank Championship in October. She also won on the Ladies European Tour. The 25-year-old is one of the best in the world and forms an impressive partnership with Finau.
Aberg/Sagstrom (+700)
Aberg is coming off his first-ever Tour win at the RSM Classic and is shaping up to be one of the up-and-comers in the PGA. In his first pro season, he participated in 11 PGA events, making the cut 10 times and finishing in the top-10 on four occasions.
There's also an interesting connection here. Aberg's caddie is engaged to Sagstrom, who is a budding star in her own right, earning three top-10 finishes in the LPGA this year. She was also picked for Team Europe for the Solheim Cup. The 31-year-old most recently finished in 16th at the CME Group Tour Championship. This is an intriguing team with youth and experience who could make some noise at this weekend's tournament.
Rose/Hull (+1000)
Justin Rose and Charley Hull are an all-English pairing. Rose had a really nice season, winning at Pebble Beach in February. He was also a key figure behind Team Europe's win at the Ryder Cup in Rome. Overall, Rose earned five top-10s throughout the season and has lots of experience.
As for Hull, she's an exciting young player in the LPGA. While the 27-year-old didn't actually win a tournament in 2023, she had four runner-ups along with a seventh-place finish, too. Hull was also a part of Team Europe in the Solheim Cup. Although her results were inconsistent at times, Hull is one to watch if she gets hot in Naples.
Conners/Henderson (+1100)
Over to the Canadians. Corey Conners and Brooke Henderson are the claims to fame right now for Canadian golf. Conners captured first place at the Valero Texas Open several months back and remains the top-ranked golfer in his homeland.
Henderson meanwhile had a bit of an up-and-down year but did win the first tournament of the season and has been in the LPGA since 2015, earning 13 career victories and 73 top-10 finishes. There's a track record of success for Henderson.
Day/Ko (+1100)
It's been a rough few years for Jason Day, who was once regarded as one of the top golfers on the Tour. But, he finally grabbed a win this season, taking home first place at the AT&T Byron Nelson. Day was ultimately 28th in the FedEx Cup standings. As for Ko, she is 11th in the world but didn't win a tournament in 2023. That being said, she does have 19 career victories since turning pro in 2014.

I really like the Swedish duo of Aberg and Sagstrom, two players who had solid seasons on the PGA Tour and LPGA, respectively. At +700, they're worth a bet in the Grant Thornton Invitational.
