Who To Back In EPL Week 4

The pick of the English Premier League games on Week 4 is the Manchester derby, but that is not the only great betting opportunity from this weeks action as you will soon find out.

Week 4 EPL Best Bets

Manchester United (+125) vs. Manchester City (+220)

ElbowsThe first Manchester derby kicks off this weekend at Old Trafford and it is a fixture that has captured the imagination of the soccer community. Both Manchester clubs are expected to finish one-two in the Premier League this season, so this game is huge.

Both Manchester clubs have a 100% record in the league so far and both are confident of keeping that record intact by the time the 90 minutes are over.

United are +125 favorites, compared to +220 for City, partly because of having home advantage, but also because talismanic City striker Sergio Aguero is unavailable for selection due to a three-match ban for elbowing.

This game ended 0-0 last season, with United winning at the City of Manchester Stadium by a goal to nil. Both teams have scored in only one of the last five Manchester derbies making the -130 for under 2.5 goals look attractive.

I can see this being a stalemate once again. Neither manager wants to lose to the other, and both teams cancel each other out across the pitch, which is why I will be putting my money on a draw at +230. A 0-0 draw is +800 with a 1-1 draw priced at +475.

Pick: 1-1 tie at +475

Liverpool (-165) vs. Leicester City (+425)

Klopp

Liverpool go into their home game against reigning champions Leicester City having won, drawn, and lost in their opening three games, showing the same old inconsistency that has plagued them in recent seasons.

Jurgen Klopp’s team looked devastating in front of goal when they beat Arsenal 4-3, but were awful in their 2-0 defeat at the hands of newly promoted Burnley.

Leicester have been equally inconsistent with a 1-1-1 record, having only kept one clean sheet. Before a ball was kicked this season, I predicted Leicester would struggle during this campaign. I fully expect Liverpool to run out winners here.

We're keen on Liverpool to win and both teams to score at +240. Not usually fans of guessing the correct score, but we have an inkling Liverpool, at +700, will win 2-1.

Pick: Liverpool at -165

Swansea City (+450) vs. Chelsea (-170)

Chelsea

Swansea City face Chelsea at home this weekend having been given the green light to play their record signing Borjan Baston as he has fully recovered from a thigh injury that has kept him sidelined since his £15.5 million move from Atletico Madrid.

The Spanish striker only played once for Atletico as he was farmed out on loan where he scored 22 goals in 38 games for Real Zaragoza in 2014-15, following up with 18 goals in 36 games for Eibar last season.

Baston will be needed as Swansea have only scored twice in three games, with Leroy Fer scoring both of them.

Chelsea has managed to find the back of the net seven times in their opening three games and look like a team who could challenge for the Premier League title once again.

Antonio Conte’s side look hard to beat and deadly in front of goal, which make the -170 on a Chelsea win an absolute bargain.

The Chelsea/Chelsea double result at +110 is a good bet as is the +150 for Chelsea to win and record a shutout.

Pick: Chelsea to record a shutout win at +150
