Predicting The Net Worth Of 2024 U.S. Election Winner

Forget betting about who wins the 2024 U.S. election — whether it’s Donald Trump, Joe Biden, a Republican, or Democrat. No, there’s a more fun and lucrative way to bet on the 2024 election winner: by net worth. Allow us to explain and predict this fun bet.

2024 US Presidential Winner By Net Worth Bet

The best political-based betting sites always find ways to roll out special bets around elections. However, this is a new one we haven’t seen before. It’s not who wins or what party per se, but just the general net worth of the 2024 winner. Take a look at the betting options available from site to site:

Net Worth RangeBovadaMyBookieBetOnline
$0 to $100 Million+120+120+120
More Than $100 Million To $1 Billion+300+300+300
More Than $1 Billion+150+150+150

All right, let’s break down some leading candidates and where they sit on the net worth totem pole per Forbes (the bet will officially be settled by Forbes estimates). That will help level-set this betting prediction somewhat.

Obviously, Biden is the incumbent President. Historically, that gives you a strong chance at winning the second term, which Biden has announced. In 2023, Forbes estimated Biden to be worth $10 million — up from the $8 million when he took the Oval Office in 2020. How so on a modest $400,000 a year salary as President? Well, mostly because his real estate properties went up in value.

His leading challenger is Trump, who is blowing away most Republican opponents in polling. This year too Forbes dropped Trump from its Forbes 400 list, which lists the 400 richest Americans today. The cutoff this year was $2.9 billion, which Trump missed by $300 million. So Trump's net worth is sitting around $2.6 billion currently.

No other candidate is a real contender — sorry, Ron DeSantis and Vivek Ramaswamy. Therefore, it’s not worth our time to even contemplate them in the context of this bet.

By these two estimates, you get a clear idea of how the betting odds were set. Trump is in the $1 billion and up category, while Biden is in the $0 to $100 million category. Interestingly enough, it’s the Biden category that’s the betting favorite even though in the head-to-head odds, Trump is leading Biden. What gives? We explain our pick in the next section.

Predicting Net Worth Of 2024 U.S. Election Winner

Politics is obviously a touchy subject nowadays. We personally have “no horse on this race” and want to stay as bi-partisan as possible. To be fair to both leading candidates, here’s the case for either winning or losing the 2024 election. We’ll offer our betting prediction on the 2024 winner after this.

Joe Biden

Case for winning: polls have Biden losing to Trump and being high in disapproval. But time and time again, polls have been proven to be wrong. Most recently, everyone expected a “red tsunami” in the 2022 midterms only for the Democrats to overperform. Heck, Trump himself defied the polls in 2016. We sense Biden isn’t as unpopular as he’s made out to be, and he did beat Trump once already.

Case for losing: the worst thing going for Biden might not even be a struggling economy. It might not be failed campaign promises of his. Biden’s biggest issue? His age. He’s about to be 81 years old, which makes him the oldest sitting President ever. Lasting until 2028 would put him at 86 years old — well past the average life expectancy. The country has witnessed him deteriorate physically and mentally over the last four years, and that’s objectively true. Can Biden even last another five years?

Donald Trump

Case for winning: most Americans feel worse off now in 2023 than they did in 2017 when Trump took office. Affordability has really spiraled out of control in seemingly every aspect — housing, loans, food, etc. Trump’s “Make America Great Again” rally cry could land better since many voters are longing for the past right now.

Case for losing: Trump might’ve been the very reason Republicans failed miserably at the 2022 midterms. Most of the candidates he backed underperformed and lost their respective elections. He’s deeply unpopular, and let’s be real, most of Biden’s “support” in 2020 was anti-Trump sentiment rather than pro-Biden. “Never Trump” is a real thing that the ex-President probably is stuck with among huge swaths of the population.

Our Betting Pick

Honestly, both candidates have more flaws than strengths. Our cases against each winning are stronger than the cases in favor.

But gun to our head, we’d pick Biden to win right now. Trump’s unpopularity is much more deep-rooted than Biden’s and we don’t see that changing before 2024. Take the net worth under $100 million option.
