Jannik Sinner won the first men’s Grand Slam of 2024 when he came back from two sets down in the final of the Australian Open to defeat Daniil Medvedev. The victory gave Sinner the first Grand Slam win of his career. This also makes the Italian the only man who can sweep all four major events in 2024. At the start of 2024, all the talk was about whether Novak Djokovic could complete the Golden Slam. So once Sinner defeated Djokovic at the semi-final stage of the Australian Open, that possibility was gone forever. And now, it’s Jannik Sinner, who is the only male who can complete the Golden Slam this year.
What is the Golden Slam in Tennis?
For those not aware, the Golden Slam is winning all four Opens in the calendar year, as well as the Olympic Gold. That can only be done once every four years, and with Djokovic now at the ripe old age of 36, and this being an Olympic year, this was his last chance to do it.
To be fair, winning all four Grand Slams is almost impossible, never mind the Olympic Gold, as well. Djokovic has never achieved it, so what is the chance of Jannik Sinner winning all four?

Jannik Sinner already has one Grand Slam win in 2024. The odds of him not adding to his collection in 2024 is a favorite in this market at -150. To win a second Grand Slam, Sinner is +150. To win three, he is +800, and to sweep all four, he is +5000.

The biggest obstacles to Sinner sweeping the Grand Slams will be the surfaces. To put this into perspective, Sinner is the fourth favorite at +550 to win the French Open, which is played on clay.
He is the third favorite at +650 to win Wimbledon (played on grass). Finally, Sinner is third in the betting at +400 to win the US Open. The US Open is played on hard courts, the same surface Sinner won on in Australia.
The fact that Sinner is shorter to win in the US Open than he is to win in the French Open or at Wimbledon highlights how the best online tennis betting sites feel the young Italian isn’t quite ready to compete on his non-favored surfaces just yet.

Betting to win Wimbledon 2024
The third Grand Slam of the year is Wimbledon, starting on July 1st. The defending champion is Carlos Alcaraz, and he is the joint favorite to win it again at +190. Also at +190 is Novak Djokovic, who as a seven-time winner of the event, could be one of the best Wimbledon bets of 2024.
Jannik Sinner is third in the betting at +650. But the best tennis betting sites seem to say they see the event as a two-horse race between last year’s finalists.
Betting to win the 2024 US Open
The defending champion, Novak Djokovic is favorite at +140. Carlos Alcaraz is close behind at +175, with Jannik Sinner almost making it a three-horse race at +400.
Last year, Sinner only got as far as the 4th Round, but it was after his defeat in New York that Sinner’s game drastically improved. And now with a win in Australia under his belt, it would be no surprise to see him back that up at Flushing Meadow in September.

This year, we can see Jannik Sinner winning two Grand Slam titles at best. The chances are the clay of Paris won’t suit him. But he did get as far as the semi-final at Wimbledon last year, so he can’t be totally written off on grass.
But if he is to win a second, it will likely be the US Open. Sinner is currently +150 to win two Grand Slams and +400 to win the US Open. Betting on Sinner at +400 to win in the United States would make more sense.
