Week 12 NFL Picks: Why Buffalo Bills MUST Beat New Orleans Saints?

There is no better time to get odds from NFL betting sites than during the week of Thanksgiving. Not only is it late enough in the season for you to have the lowdown on the best Super Bowl betting odds, but the league typically stacks the deck with marquee matchups galore.

This year is no different. Our Week 12 NFL picks are awash with big-time showdowns and include a look at why the Buffalo Bills must take down the New Orleans Saints.

Before we get started, here's a complete look at the latest Week 12 NFL betting odds, courtesy of BetOnline:

Everyone should ensure they're confirming these NFL odds prior to settling on any NFL picks. The lines will continue to shift right up until the opening kickoff. We also recommend using an odds provider from our reviews of the best online sportsbooks given that the schedule of games is more topsy-turvy since so many Week 12 matchups take place on Thursday, November 25.

Week 12 NFL Predictions

To keep in theme with the holiday spirit, our NFL Week 12 picks will include predictions for all three Thanksgiving Day games. These matchups include:

  • Chicago Bears vs. Detroit Lions
  • Dallas Cowboys vs. Las Vegas Raiders
  • Buffalo Bills vs. New Orleans Saints

Please note all three of these games are scheduled for Thursday, November 25. Every other contest we predict will be kicking off on Sunday, November 28.

Bills Face Must-Win Game vs. Saints

The Bills have officially forfeited first place in the AFC East thanks to the New England Patriots' five-game winning streak. They need this game to regain control of a division widely considered theirs to lose at the start of the season.

We believe Buffalo will get the W. The Saints are too injured. Quarterback Jameis Winston is done for the year, and star running back Alvin Kamara remains questionable yet seems unlikely to play coming off a short week.

OSB Prediction: Buffalo Bills (-210)

Lions Remain Winless Against Bears

Picking against the winless Lions is actually a little risky. There's a feeling they have to pick up a victory at some point. Beyond that, the Bears are far from a sure thing with rookie Justin Fields under center.

Still, Detroit is largely listless. It generates next to zero pass rushing and cannot string together anything consistently on offense. Chicago should win.

Cowboys Massacre the Raiders

Upset bettors won't like this matchup. There's very little surprise potential.

Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott continues to steer one of the league's most lethal offenses, and Dallas has lost just once at home all year. The Raiders, meanwhile, are losers of three straight and look like a team in crisis.

Tennessee Ends New England's Win Streak

The Patriots have won five games in a row to grab first place in the AFC East. Will they make it six against Tennessee?

We're betting no. The Patriots have struggled a bunch at home this season, and more than that, the Titans' defense has looked great over the past eight weeks, a span that's included seven victories.

Carolina's Good Vibes Continue Against Miami

Cam Newton is back with the Panthers and might actually be better than ever. Through two starts with Carolina, he has moved extremely well, made big plays and spearheaded two victories.

Knowing how ambiguous the Dolphins offense is week-to-week, this feels like a game the Panthers should be able to control wire to wire.

Vikings Pull Off Another Upset vs. 49ers

The Vikings have been underdogs the past two weeks yet pulled off victories each time. (For what it's worth, if you followed our picks on those games, you'd have made some serious money.) We expect Minnesota to pull off yet another upset when they meet San Francisco.

People poke fun at Vikings quarterback Kirk Cousins, but he has piloted some stirring offensive performances over the past three weeks. And if Minnesota's passing game has truly come around, the lackluster Niners don't stand much of a chance.

OSB Prediction: Minnesota Vikings (+142)

Green Bay Edges Out Los Angeles

This game is incredibly tough to predict. The Packers are coming off a disappointing loss to the Vikings in Week 11 while the Rams have now lost two consecutive games. Both teams are fringe contenders who really need a win.

Green Bay catches our attention more. Los Angeles is used to playing in warm weather and enters Week 12 with a banged-up receiving core. The Packers should put the home-field advantage to good use in this one.

OSB Prediction: Green Bay Packers (-114)
