The Players Championship Best Bets
The Players Championship is described as an event that brings the world's top players together to face the purest test in golf. McIlroy is the reigning winner of The Players Championship. Scheffler won the tournament in 2023 and 2024.
There's a $25 million purse up for grabs, along with 700 FedEx Cup points for the winner, as the players compete on the par 72, 7,532-yard TPC Sawgrass layout.
Let's have a look at the top contenders in The Players Championship golf picks for this year's tournament.
Scottie Scheffler (+400)
When he won in 2023 and 2024, Scheffler was the first back-to-back winner in the 50-year history of the tournament. Scheffler won by five strokes in 2023. That was the largest margin of victory since Steven Ames (six strokes) in 2006.
Rory McIlroy (+1200)
Along with his win last year, McIlroy was also TPC champion in 2019.

A back injury forced McIlroy to withdraw from last week's Arnold Palmer Invitational, so he might be a risky bet this week.
Collin Morikawa (+1800)
Morikawa is coming in hot. He won at Pebble Beach, among three straight top-seven finishes. He was 10th in the 2025 TPC.
Morikawa hits it straight - he's ninth in driving accuracy - and he makes up for mistakes. He's fifth in strokes gained on approach.
Ludvig Aberg (+2200)
Aberg was tied for third in last week's Arnold Palmer Invitational. That was the first time the Swede cracked the top 10 this season.
Si Woo Kim (+2500)
Kim won the 2017 TPC, his second PGA Tour title, both earned before his 22nd birthday. He's twice finished in the top-10 of this event since that win.

He's shown consistency in 2026, earning five finishes no worse than a tie for 13th. Kim is fourth on the PGA Tour in driving accuracy and second overall in strokes gained on approach.
Xander Schauffele (+2500)
Schauffele has come close in the TPC. He finished in a tie for second in 2024 and 2018.
Tommy Fleetwood (+2500)
The defending FedEx Cup winner was tied for fourth at Pebble Beach and tied for seventh in the Genesis Invitational.
Cameron Young (+3000)
Young has posted consecutive top-10 finishes. He was in a tie for fourth at Pebble Beach and a tie for seventh in the Arnold Palmer Invitational.
PGA Tour Longshots To Consider
Justin Thomas, the 2021 winner, and 2016 winner Jason Day are both showing at golf betting odds of +9000 to win this year's tournament. Rickie Fowler, the 2015 TPC winner, is at +5000 to win this time around.
Daniel Berger (+5000) lost in a playoff at last week's Arnold Palmer Invitational. JJ Spaun (+8000) lost a playoff to McIlroy in the 2025 TPC. Wyndham Clark (+12500) finished tied for second in the 2024 Players Championship. Australian Min Woo Lee (+4000) briefly led the final round of the 2024 TPC.
Tournament Prop Bets
Among golf prop bets available on The Players Championship, the odds are -225 that the tournament winner will be playing in the final group of Sunday's round. The golf betting line is +165 that the winner won't be part of the last group off the tee on Sunday.
It's +800 that a player will score an albatross, which is a two on a par-five hole. The golf betting odds show a +800 line that there will be a wire-to-wire winner. Play a prop on any player to score 18 consecutive pars in a single round at odds of +1400.
A one-stroke victory is the +225 favorite in a winning margin prop. It's -165 that a player will record a hole-in-one, and +350 that a playoff will be required to determine The Players Championship winner. Bet on a 3+ player playoff at a golf betting line of +1200, or a 4+ player playoff at odds of +6500.
The Players Championship Golf Pick
Scheffler has been slumping in recent tournaments. Combine that with McIlroy's questionable health, and it makes betting the chalk seem almost as risky as opting to roll with a long shot play.
Kim's consistency this season, coupled with his ability to keep the ball on the fairway, makes him an ideal contender on a course where accuracy matters. If he can get the flat stick working on the greens, then Kim is the play to make in The Players Championship golf picks.
