Prescott should more than hold up his end of the bargain. He has thrown 11 touchdowns over the past four weeks. And on this NFL Thanksgiving Day, he gets to square off with the Washington Commanders and their truly atrocious league-worst defense.
Purdy is more of a wild card. Though he’s tossed six touchdowns over the past two weeks, he combined for just three scores in the previous three weeks. Fortunately for him, and for us, he’s going up against the Seattle Seahawks defense in Week 12.
Christian McCaffrey Touchdowns Could Make You Some SERIOUS CASH
Can Christian McCaffrey of the 49ers score at least one passing touchdown and one rushing touchdown? It’s a tall order. But the payout on this NFL Thanksgiving Day prop is +800. We believe that’s worth the risk.
Tallying a receiving and rushing touchdown in the same game is hardly foreign territory to McCaffrey. He’s done it three times this season. Most recently, he did it in Weeks 8 and 9, while the Niners were riding the struggle bus. Now, however, he’s healthier. And so are the Niners.
Wideout Deebo Samuel has returned to the fold. Ditto for offensive tackle Trent Williams. Both will command extra defense attention that frees up McCaffrey more than usual.
And to answer a question you might have: No, we’re not concerned that CMC hasn’t scored a rushing TD since Week 9. He’s been banged up himself, and San Francisco’s offensive line was worse for wear. Both he and the offensive line are now closer to being whole. That bodes well for a big-time NFL Thanksgiving Day outing.
Can the Seahawks, Packers and Lions All Find the Endzone Multiple Times?
Okay, this one’s relatively spicy. If the Seahawks, Packers and Lions combine for 11 or more touchdowns, you’re looking at a +700 payout. To be honest, 7-to-1 almost feels too low. The Packers offense is the mother of all wild cards, and the Seahawks offense will be facing the 49ers’ suffocating defense. A 7-to-1 payout is still too tempting to turn down.
Green Bay will go up against a fairly vulnerable passing defense in Detroit. The Lions have cut their teeth defensively on special teams and when stopping the run. The Packers will need to ratchet up the volume for QB Jordan Love, and they probably will. After all, that’s what they did when they hung 34 points on the Lions in Week 4.
Detroit’s side of the coin doesn’t take much thought here. Green Bay’s passing defense has been surprisingly stout, but only six QBs throw the ball more times per game than Goff. That volume will serve his TD total well.
Seattle’s performance is likely the diciest play here. They need to notch probably three touchdowns against the Niners defense for this NFL Thanksgiving Day prop to hit. San Francisco has given up 21-plus points just three times all season. But they have proven mortal when offenses hurry up and air it out with intense frequency. The Cincinnati Bengals and Vikings racked up 600-plus combined passing yards against them in Weeks 7 and 8. The Seahawks, for all their flaws, retain big-play potential down the field. Geno is averaging around 11 yards per completion, a number that allows Seattle to move the chains and set up scoring opportunities.
