Each winter in the NFL, the postseason presents plenty of intrigues, especially in the NFC. With seven teams now representing the conference for the postseason, fans surely can't wait to sink their teeth into the NFC Championship Betting Odds. Will it be the Packers, Cowboys, Saints, Seahawks, 49ers, or a different team to win the conference title and move on to the Super Bowl?
That's what we can't wait to find out. But, what kind of bets can NFL gamblers make for the NFC Championship Game? In this piece, we take a look at your options or betting on that incredible game, plus provide odds for some of the biggest powerhouses out there who are looking to make their way to that championship matchup in January.
NFC Championship Odds
It goes without saying, but bettors will have a pretty good idea of who they think will end up winning the NFC Championship and moving on to play in the Super Bowl before the season gets underway. However, there’s always going to be some teams that turn heads and come in from out of nowhere to take down the rest of the field, seeing the NFC Championship Odds rise in the process.
Remember in 2017-18 when the Philadelphia Eagles shocked the football world and not only won the NFC Championship Game but then also defeated the New England Patriots in the Super Bowl as well? It’s important to remember that there’s always going to be a chance of some serious underdogs making noise. At the same time, the preseason favorites have the best NFL odds to win their conferences for a reason.
These odds were last updated on October 30th, 2020.
|2020 NFC Winners Odds|
|Tampa Bay Buccaneers||+350||+355||+350|
|Green Bay Packers||+450||+450||+450|
|New Orleans Saints||+600||+600||+600|
|Los Angeles Rams||+800||+800||+800|
|San Francisco 49ers||+1100||+1100||+1100|
Because of how much talent there is in the NFC, the odds are always going to be changing. For example, the San Francisco 49ers might have been the favorites to win the conference leading up to the season, especially after making it to the Super Bowl in 2020, but things will change if the offense struggles and they end up going on a losing streak to start the year.
Obviously, injuries for the top NFC teams will have an impact on the odds as well. Say if Russell Wilson, unfortunately, injures himself for the Seattle Seahawks and is forced to miss 4-6 weeks of action, you're going to see Seattle's odds plummet. Fortunately for the Hawks, Wilson has been able to stay quite healthy throughout his career and has been firing off dimes against opposing defenses with ease. He really makes things look easy when he's on the field.

NFC Championship Line
As soon as the two top teams emerge from the NFC playoffs to meet in the final, everyone is going to be ready to see what the official NFC Championship Line will be. Normally, you're going to see the home team for the NFC Championship Game as the favorite, especially if they're the No. 1 seed for the playoffs. In 2020, the NFL changed its rules, now having seven teams in the playoffs per conference. Only the No. 1 seed gets a BYE.
This just reinforces how crucial it will be to get that No. 1 seed in the NFC. With the line, you might see that No. 1 seed at -5, which means they are five-point favorites to win the conference title game and move on to the Super Bowl. Meanwhile, on the other side, the underdogs will be listed at +5. With these lines, you can decide to either pick one of the teams to cover the spread or make a moneyline bet.
Remember, though, that if you go the moneyline route with the favorite, your payout won't be too great because they're favored by five points. It really depends which NFL powerhouses end up facing off too. In recent years, fans have seen the NFC West have plenty of luck in the postseason, with the Seattle Seahawks and San Francisco 49ers going on strong postseason runs. Who will end up getting the job done this year?

NFC Championship Over Under
While the moneyline and point spread bets will be popular, you're also going to see plenty of bettors take a look at the odds for the NFC Championship over-under. This number will of course be set depending on which teams end up making it to the NFC Championship Game.
If you have two high-powered offenses squaring off, you might see a number as high as 58 or 62 for example. However, what if two tremendous defenses will play?
Then, you'll of course see the numbers much lower, perhaps at around 45 or 48. It'll be up to you to decide whether or not the over-under will hit, but you can have the confidence knowing that our sportsbook partners here at Online Sports Betting will have the most updated numbers ready for you to take a look at.
