Falcons vs Eagles Bets And An Actual Home Philadelphia Game
Falcons vs Eagles bets are the first actual home Philadelphia game of the season. So, this is more like it when it comes to a football game. Brazil was nice but the field was slick. For those wondering, it was 20 degrees cooler than usual in Sao Paolo for the Week 1 Packers-Eagles game. That made the turf more like a skating rink. At Lincoln Financial Field, there should be no such issues. Dry conditions with temperatures in the lower 70's are expected Monday night.
Just remember that Philadelphia was mostly able to get out of Brazil unscathed when it comes to significant injuries. Ask Green Bay about Jordan Love. The Eagles expect to see an angrier Atlanta Falcons team on Monday night. Even the Falcons do not want to go 0-2 when it comes to the NFC South. Many experts picked Atlanta to win the division before the start of this NFL season.
Now, Philadelphia would love to get off to a 2-0 start. The Eagles travel to New Orleans and Tampa Bay next which makes this week a little more urgent. It is clear that the Eagles' defense has plenty of work to do. This could be a boost for Atlanta and also puts a little pressure on the Philadelphia offense to keep producing.
Okay, let us keep this simple. This should be a close game on paper. Philadelphia did not pull away last week against Atlanta and both teams could make enough mistakes to keep the game within a touchdown. Kirk Cousins and Jalen Hurts both threw two interceptions. The turnover prop is something to look at but we like Atlanta to cover here in a bit of an up and down contest.
Philadelphia Plus Atlanta Equals The Over
Yes, Falcons vs Eagles bets look at the over next. Right now, the Philadelphia Eagles rank better offensively. Let us be honest. Defense was not their strong suit last week in Brazil as Green Bay scored 29 points. The Packers could have easily scored 30+ if not for the Jordan Love injury.
Philadelphia's defense remains college-level bad much like the second half of last season. They allowed over 400 yards of total offense to Green Bay including 163 rushing yards on 21 attempts. The Eagles picked off one Jordan Love pass but again miscues on both sides could prove key to this game. Kirk Cousins and Jalen Hurts make questionable decisions. It makes for more downfield plays but also creates opportunities via miscues.
The Eagles and Falcons can run the ball well. Saquon Barkley had three touchdowns last week (two rushing, one receiving). The Falcons yielded 137 yards to Pittsburgh runners in Week 1. Philadelphia has a better offensive line. Watch for those Barkley props as Philadelphia tries to get off to a better start at home.
The Over of 47 points is in play and even at 47.5 is as well. Roll with that.
Looking At A Few Other Week 2 NFL Games
While the Falcons vs Eagles bets are fun, there are lots of other games to shop around for inΒ Week 2 NFL games.Β After all, that is what makes NFL betting interesting. Could Daniel Jones and the New York Giants score some points in Washington this week? In a battle of two very bad defenses, anything is possible. Jayden Daniels was quite a dual-threat last week as he ran for 88 yards and threw for almost 200 in a loss to Tampa Bay. Daniels could get in the end zone that way again. The Commanders are currently at -2.
Watch the line in the Green Bay game. The Packers may have a tough time this week against Anthony Richardson who creates a ton of havoc much like Jalen Hurts. Green Bay can create turnovers but they got gouged time and again by the speed of Barkley and Hurts. One may not see the Colts favored by 2.5 over the weekend.
Finally, there is Tampa and Detroit then the Rams and Cardinals. Tampa looked great at home against Washington while Detroit slid by in overtime past the Rams. Tampa is a 7.5-point underdog in a place where they nearly upended the Lions in the playoffs. As for the Rams, Los Angeles is 4-0 in first quarters where they are underdogs against NFC opponents. They are also 13-6-2 ATS in their last 21 September contests.
